Kinvara GAA will host our annual summer BBQ, including Road Hurling and Horseshoe Throwing on Sunday 30th July 2017.
The events will this year take place down on The Quay and promises to be a great social and fun day with plenty for all.
The Road Hurling Tournament will kick start events at 12 midday. This annual event will be played for The Poulnagan Cup.
The track this year will be up the Northampton Road, turn at Northampton NS, and back down again to Murphy Heating finish line.
Teams of 3, with entry fee of €10 per head.
Last timeslot will be approx 1pm, so all teams will be back before 2:30pm
The Horseshoe Throwing starts at 3pm, and will be played for the prestigous Jack Donohue Cup. The pitching will take place in the grass area down on The Quay.
The weather got the better of us last year, so hopefully this year will be better and we can get it played.
We will have 2 pitches set up with 2 matches running at same time.
This competition is as much for the novice as the experienced, and all are welcome to give it a go.
Note: there will be a small entry fee for this.
Again, we will fondly remember the late Carmel Donohue RIP who passed away last year. She was always our organiser in chief of the horseshoe competition, and is sadly missed.
During the day we will have a BBQ to keep the hunger pains at bay, with the finest of food being served.
Also, there is LIVE MUSIC being planned for outside The Pier Head (subject to weather).
So come along and we hope to see you there.
